The site is a greenfield site located at the Port of Caddo Bossier. This 570+/- acres site runs along LA Hwy 1 and is just south of the Shreveport city limits.
The Port of Caddo-Bossier Parishes completed a new $20 million waterline from Bossier City to The Port of Caddo-Bossier, and held its groundbreaking ceremony in mid-October 2024. Construction of the new waterline began in October 2023 and lasted about 10 months. This new waterline taps into Bossier City’s water system and will provide water to the undeveloped part of the Port Industrial Complex on the west side of LA Highway 1.
The Bossier waterline will also serve as a secondary source of water for current port tenants on the east side of LA Hwy 1. Currently, these port tenants use Shreveport’s water system. In case of any interruption in service, the Port now has the “benefit of redundancy” via the ability to switch to using Bossier’s water system.
West side of LA Hwy 1
As a policy, the Port has dedicated the water supply from the Bossier waterline to feed the southern sites on the west side of LA Hwy 1 (south of Leonard Rd.). Northern sites on the west side of LA Hwy 1 (north of Leonard Rd.) are serviced by current infrastructure from the City of Shreveport. Notably, a 24” Shreveport waterline is available along Harts Island through Robson Farms. This availability provides the opportunity for redundancy in some instances.
