Venice Port Complex is a privately owned port and located at the southern tip of Louisiana at mile 11 on the Mississippi river and approximately 75 miles south of New Orleans. The commercial port covers approximately 500 acres and Venice Port ’s value and competitive advantage is based on its geographical position in its proximity to the Mississippi river and US Gulf, its proximity to an extensive network and proximity of gas pipelines, a large land bank of 500 acres of developed land and 1,000 acres of greenfield land available for development.  The lease rates for industrial plots are attractive in relation to the competing ports and the Greater New Orleans area. 

The Venice Port Complex Marine Terminal is a 15-acre site with direct access to the Mississippi River and Tiger Pass. The naturally deep water and recently upgraded bulkheads in the two (2) slips make this site ideal for a marine terminal or transloading facility. The property has been elevated using river dredge material in order to reduce major flooding from typical high river floods and normal storm surge. This site has access to all utilities as well as direct access to Louisiana Highway 23.
